She is best known for her character Judy Kramer from the 2005 Fox TV series Point Pleasant and Marcy Brender from Dawson's Creek. The three-year run in the role of Marina Cooper, in Guiding Light's soap opera earned her nominations for the Soap Opera Digest Awards 2003 for the category Outstanding Newcomer. Between 2007 and 2008 Dollar starred as Cindy Thomas on the ABC TV series Women's Murder Club. Dollar starred in an episode of the NBC Happy Valley pilot which did not get picked up.
