Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. O'Dell's stories in Charleston about the police's leniency regarding DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. The result was state authorities issuing more strict regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. She also works as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
