Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen, a Vietnamese American businesswoman, lives in Orange County California. I have a lovely fiance called JP and a frightened dad Henry. Most people know me through my Instagram @annephung where I document my life - highs and lows, as well as all in between. My parents accompanied my family to America in 1990, when I was just a year old. I wouldn't be sharing my life story today had my parents not worked to the max and sacrifice. To give them an opportunity to live a prosperous future, I focused on achieving success and put in the effort to get there. I believed that my life would go the same way as I graduated from university, be offered an employment opportunity in the corporate world, then be married, and then start a family. That was my ideal of what success would look like. However, life was not so keen on my ideas. My corporate job in 2013 was one I had a fear of. The status and wealth did not bring me joy. I felt I was living a solitary existence to get a pay check. I had a passion for fitness and having fun and helping people while I walked my new career path. I was drawn to personal training. In 2014, I launched my business on the side and in this year in 2021, I'll be celebrating my 7th anniversary. As an Asian female in this industry we are among the many of us. My goal is to be a positive influencer within the field to offer quality coaching to empower others to become a healthier and happier person by establishing the most sustainable life that meets their individual goals and needs. In addition, I strive in empowering others to achieve the goals they have set for themselves so that they can achieve what they wish to do. My career took off as I experienced the greatest happiness in my entire life. However, my mother died just as my professional life began to fall off. After an eight-year struggle with the disease, she is at peace on Heaven. I will never forget her, and will always remember her in my mind and in my heart. It is possible to learn from the world, even if it may be difficult to see it now. My loss has impacted my life in many different ways. I truly believe that her death gave me the opportunity to begin an entirely new chapter. She passed away in the morning of Tet/Lunar New Year Day. It was the day she decided to enter her next life. I was given a second chance at living a happy and fulfilled life. My 30's are the first time I really feel I am alive. When I share my experience I hope my thoughts will resonate with those of yours. I hope that my words can help you realize that you're never truly alone. You have the capacity to succeed in everything you desire. I pray that you live your life fully and that your death be without regrets, because that's all that we have to be confident about during this lifetime.
