Richard B. Cheney, an accomplished businessman and public servant who is vice president. Cheney is a familiar figure in Washington's political landscape. George W. Richard Bruce Cheney is the father of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born January 30, 1941 on the outskirts of Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, he emigrated with his family to Casper in the western state of Wyoming in Wyoming, where his father directed the district for soil conservation in Casper to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
